A 10-week coaching series to build stronger connections, shared values, and inclusive systems that help every member of your school community feel seen, valued, and supported.

Overview

This strand supports schools in cultivating a culture where everyone feels a true sense of belonging—students, families, and staff alike. It begins with deep learning and unlearning: examining identity, confronting assumptions, and understanding how school systems can either foster or hinder connection.

Through this 10-week coaching journey, we guide teams in both personal reflection and collective practice—helping your school build the trust, relationships, and structures needed to create lasting, human-centered change.

Whether you're beginning this work or building on existing practices, we meet you where you are and grow from there—together.

What This Strand Focuses On

Each session includes opportunities to reflect, collaborate, and take practical steps toward community-wide transformation. 

Based on the trajectory chosen, an example of topics includes:

  • Norm setting and building trust among team members

  • Identity sharing and storytelling as a foundation for community

  • Creating inclusive spaces across lines of difference

  • Engaging with diverse and neurodiverse perspectives

  • Translating belief into practice: how to make change real and sustainable

What to Expect

This coaching series runs over 10 weeks, including live sessions, applied learning prompts, and real-time application. It is tailored to your school’s current context and readiness level.

Our time includes:

  • A collaborative kickoff meeting to assess your starting point and goals

  • Ten coaching sessions (spaced based on your team’s capacity)

  • Reflective assignments between sessions to guide action

  • Data-gathering touchpoints

  • A final reflection session with planning for future steps

Where Are You Starting?

Each community begins by identifying its current stage in the work. We define this together in our initial consultation:

  • Beginning: Systems may be inconsistent or newly forming. Some community members are actively involved in developing a sense of belonging.

  • Developing: Most systems are in place and consistent. There’s a growing shared vision and broad participation across the school.

  • Deepening: Community-wide practices are embedded and refined. The focus is on reflection, adaptation, and improving outcomes.

Who Should Participate

Each coaching series supports a team of 5–8 individuals from your school community. This may include:

  • School leaders or instructional coaches

  • Teachers across grade levels

  • Family-facing staff

  • Equity team or culture leads
