Build capacity, spark dialogue, and support practical application within school communities

Workshop Series

Our Workshop Series brings together up to 30 participants for a focused strand of learning, led by one of our skilled facilitators. These experiences are designed to build capacity, spark dialogue, and support practical application within school communities.

  • Educator Workshops
Designed for school-site educators, this series supports deep reflection and curriculum development in areas such as critical literacy, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), representation, and student-led social action. Workshops foster both personal insight and practical tools for inclusive instruction.

  • Family-Focused Workshops
This three-part series is created for parents and caregivers and designed to build trust, deepen understanding, and open space for meaningful conversation—especially around complex or challenging topics. Each session builds on the last, helping families strengthen connection and communication at home.

School Site Educator Workshops

This workshop series begins with an introductory meeting to understand your school, district, or organization’s unique needs. From there, you’ll choose one area of focus:

  • Representation

  • Social Action

  • Critical Literacy, or

  • Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Once that area is chosen, the learning  unfolds over three interactive workshops, with built-in time for reflection, planning, and community feedback after each session. The experience closes with two follow-up coaching sessions to support implementation and sustain momentum.

Example:  Workshop Cadence

  1. Introduction to Topic + Personal Connection to the Topic

  2. Representation in Practice

  3. Planning for Action

Let’s work together to shape a workshop experience that fits your goals and timing.

Family Focused Workshops

This coaching model begins with an introductory meeting to discuss needs and supports present that the school site would like these workshops to assist. Each of the Family Workshops below are then offered to the community at a date and time that works for all. At the conclusion of the series, we will have a reflection session to help generate next steps and how they can continue to support their community with whatever concepts were covered including our more in-depth coaching models.

Family Workshop Series:

  • Talking about Race and Identity

  • Understanding Bias

  • Preparing for the Unexpected
