Check out our new look, and our updated resources!

A Message from Our Executive Director:

To our educator community:

We have been thinking of your herculean efforts as the new school year has begun, working hard to create spaces of belonging and learning for children across the nation.  We know that the reopening of schools requires a re-thinking and re-imagining on so many levels and that educators are working so hard every day to do what is best for all students.  We are thinking of you all and are here to support you as you needed.

We have committed to creating and posting resources readily and often to support you as you continue the important work of centering equity and justice.

As such, we have recently updated our resource page so you can easily navigate to sections related to elements of practice within our anti-bias education framework. You can now see resources particularly tied to Community Building and Identity, Critical Literacy, UDL, Social Action, Representation and more! We hope that this change increases access to quick and actionable resources that feel informative and useful.

We also urge you to join our incredible educator workshops, which dig deeper into the tools of anti-bias education.  We offer packages to schools who may wish to purchase tickets for their faculty in advance.  If you are interested in this, email us at: community@rootsconnected.org.

Please reach out if we can ever be of further support.

Warmly,

Sahba Rohani, Executive Director
